SEA and Google Ads

Outsource Google Ads without giving up control of your budget

Good ad optimisation starts with reliable conversion measurement and clear agreements on budget, search intent and exclusions.

Illustration of paid-search growth with ads, conversions and controlled budgets
Google Ads management starts with reliable conversions and clear budget limits; optimisation follows only when the data supports a decision.
  • Conversions first: We distinguish primary customer actions from supporting events and ordinary page views.
  • Budget oversight: Pacing, search terms and deviations are checked before budgets are shifted.
  • SEO and SEA together: Search-term data and landing pages inform the organic strategy where appropriate.

What does Google Ads management include?

Campaign management is more than adjusting bids. Structure, match types, negative keywords, ad copy, assets, conversions and landing pages together determine whether the budget reaches relevant demand.

  • Search, Shopping and Performance Max analysis
  • Search terms and exclusions
  • Budget pacing and anomaly alerts
  • Ad and asset tests
  • Landing-page and conversion checks

Costs and ownership

Ad spend is paid directly to Google from the client account. Management fees should be shown separately. The account, payment details and historical data remain the client's property.

  • Clear separation between media budget and management
  • No account transfer to an unknown owner
  • Change log for important optimisations
  • Agreed budget limits in advance

When do we consider a campaign better?

A lower cost per click can coincide with poorer leads. That is why we examine complete weeks, primary conversions, cost per relevant action and search-term quality. If source data is missing, we draw no conclusion.

  • Complete daily data for both comparison weeks
  • Conversion deduplication
  • No success claims based only on impressions or clicks
  • Analysis of relationships, not false certainty

First establish which conversions really count

Outsourcing Google Ads only has business value when it is clear which action represents a real enquiry, sale or appointment. Starting a form, clicking a phone number or visiting a thank-you page can be useful diagnostic signals, but should not automatically have the same status as a confirmed lead. Before management begins, we therefore check which conversions are primary or supporting, where source records are kept and whether multiple tags count the same customer action. Test submissions, internal visits and changes to cookie consent can also affect comparisons.

Where CRM or sales feedback is available, we define how an ad conversion connects to an accepted lead or sale. This helps assess search terms that produce many forms but few suitable enquiries. Without that feedback, reporting stays limited to what the ad account and website actually demonstrate. We do not attribute revenue or lead quality based on assumptions. Differences between Google Ads, Analytics and the CRM are investigated through definitions, time zones and attribution; a source becomes authoritative only once that choice and its limitations are explicitly recorded.

  • Define primary customer actions separately from supporting events
  • Check duplicate tags, test conversions and repeated thank-you page visits
  • Record the source, time zone and attribution rule for every comparison
  • Assess lead quality only with traceable CRM or sales feedback

Which decisions are made during Google Ads management?

Not every campaign needs the same intervention every week. We review search terms, budget pacing, exclusions, match types, ad assets, landing pages and measurement issues, but make changes only when the available data supports a reasoned choice. A short period with little volume is not a solid basis for an aggressive bid or budget change. Automation has limits too: a bidding strategy can process signals faster, but cannot independently fix an incorrect conversion definition, unclear offer or poorly matched search intent. First, it must be clear what the system is actually trying to optimise for.

We agree in advance which adjustments SEOJuice may make within the existing media budget and which require explicit permission. Increasing the total monthly budget, entering a new country or changing an important brand promise is not implicitly part of day-to-day management. For an exclusion, we record the irrelevant intent being filtered out. For a budget shift, we state which campaign receives more, which receives less and the overall limit within which this happens. For an ad test, we define one main question and a review date, so simultaneous changes do not unnecessarily obscure the outcome.

  • Classify search terms as relevant, uncertain or to be excluded
  • Assess budget pacing within the agreed total limit
  • Use one main question and review point per ad test
  • Resolve measurement problems before judging performance as better or worse
  • Obtain approval for material scope or budget increases first

How do we prove an optimisation without inventing results?

A verifiable change record identifies the account area, date, reason and evidence. For example: 'A search term with informational intent was excluded from the direct-enquiry campaign because it did not match the landing page and primary conversion. The exclusion was checked in the change history.' This proves what was done and why, but not yet that the cost per relevant enquiry has fallen. New ad copy or an adjusted landing page therefore also receives a separate publication and verification point.

We assess the effect only over a complete, comparable period with enough usable data. We look beyond clicks and cost per click to media costs, primary conversions, cost per relevant action, search-term quality and available sales feedback. Changes to budget, season, conversion configuration or offer are stated as context. If volume is too low or the measurement basis changed during the period, the conclusion remains 'not enough evidence yet'. This prevents an implemented optimisation, an observed movement and a demonstrable business effect from being confused.

  • Account, campaign, change date and responsible person
  • Hypothesis and business reason for the change
  • Evidence from change history, configuration or the live landing page
  • Predefined review date and comparison basis
  • Outcome measurement with explicit data limitations

Frequently asked questions

How much does outsourcing Google Ads cost?

You pay ad spend to Google plus management fees. The right management arrangement depends on the number of campaigns, countries and products, and the quality of existing measurement.

Does the Google Ads account remain mine?

Yes. The client account, its history and billing relationship should remain under the client's ownership.

Can SEOJuice guarantee results?

No. The market, offer, website and competition influence results. We can, however, make measurement errors, waste and implemented optimisations transparent.

Who is allowed to change my Google Ads budget?

This is agreed before starting. SEOJuice can optimise within an agreed total budget when authorised to do so. An increase in total media spend, expansion into a new market or another material change requires separate approval. Google invoices ad spend through the client account; management and media costs remain separate in agreements and reporting.

Can you see which Google Ads leads eventually become customers?

Only when a CRM or another reliable sales source contains that feedback and the connection is configured correctly. Definitions, identifiers and privacy choices must then be clear before revenue or customer status is sent back. Without that source, we can assess ad conversions and search-term quality, but cannot reliably say which enquiry became a paying customer or how much closed revenue belongs to a campaign.

Should I stop SEO when I use Google Ads?

No. Google Ads can test search demand and propositions relatively quickly, while SEO develops organic visibility, technical quality and lasting information pages. The channels can share search terms and landing-page insights, but their costs, measurement periods and outcomes remain separately visible. Paid traffic is not organic growth, and an SEO improvement is not automatically reported as an ad result.

Are campaigns changed immediately during an initial account review?

Not without prior permission. An initial review can assess conversions, search terms, structure, budget limits, ownership and notable risks without changing settings. A clearly scoped proposal then follows, with priorities, reasons and the proposed verification method. This lets you first assess which interventions are needed and who may carry them out before ads, exclusions or budgets change.
