Pricing and scope

SEO costs and packages: clarity from the start

SEO costs only become comparable when scope, terms, implementation and measurement evidence are clear. That is why each package shows what is included and which agreements apply.

Clear SEO scope with included work, separate costs and straightforward agreements
A useful price proposal shows not just the monthly amount, but also the scope, term, exceptions and total initial commitment.
  • Monthly price: Amounts and VAT treatment must be clear before purchase.
  • Term per package: A package with a six-month term is not described as cancellable monthly.
  • Separate budget: Advertising budget and management fees are different items.

Which factors determine the price?

Scale, technical complexity, competition, number of locations, advertising channels and required content determine the amount of work needed.

  • Number of important URLs and templates
  • Technical condition and hosting limitations
  • Market and search competition
  • Number of locations or advertising accounts
  • Available in-house expertise

The current package structure

The website shows three subscription options. The final order confirmation determines the VAT, discounts, inclusions and conditions that apply to your order.

  • SEO Autopilot: €199,99 per month, minimum term six months
  • SEO + SEA Autopilot Pro: €289,99 per month, minimum term six months; advertising budget not included
  • SEO Autopilot Monthly: €269,99 per month and cancellable monthly
  • A 7,5% discount is stated for twelve months on the two fixed-term packages

How to compare proposals fairly

Do not compare only monthly amounts or numbers of links. Check ownership of accounts, measurement quality, publication processes, cancellation terms and what happens when source data is missing.

  • What exactly is included?
  • Who owns the accounts and content?
  • Which results are measured?
  • Which actions require approval?
  • What are the term and cancellation process?

What should a proposal explicitly include or list separately?

A monthly amount alone is not enough to compare SEO or advertising proposals fairly. For each element, it must be clear whether research, monitoring, content, technical implementation, local SEO, advertising management, software and consultations are included, limited, optional or excluded. It also identifies who publishes and which dependencies sit with the customer or an external developer. Phrases such as ‘everything for SEO’ sound simple but do not explain how many pages, which technical tasks or what evidence are covered by the agreement. A concrete scope prevents expectations from diverging only once work is underway.

Costs outside fixed management are listed as separate categories before the customer confirms. For Google Ads, the media budget is separate from management fees, and it remains clear which party pays the advertising platform. Major custom development, external specialists, paid data sources or one-off migrations may also fall outside a subscription. This does not mean every future possibility can be priced precisely in advance, but the decision rule must be clear: no additional work or costs without a defined description, price or calculation method, start date and approval from the designated owner.

  • For each element: included, limited, optional or not included
  • Separate management fees from media, placement and external development budgets
  • List one-off work and paid data sources separately
  • Make publication responsibility and required customer input visible
  • No expansion or additional work without a new clear agreement

Look beyond the monthly amount to the total initial commitment

When a package has a minimum term, the minimum number of instalments, first payment period and subsequent cancellation process must be clear before purchase. The proposal therefore shows the monthly amount, VAT treatment, any temporary discount and minimum number of months together. An example calculation follows the simple formula of monthly amount multiplied by mandatory instalments, plus explicitly listed one-off costs. Amounts are published as final only when they come from the same current product configuration as checkout and order confirmation; separate marketing copy must not contradict them.

The total advertising budget remains outside the management-fee calculation when customers pay it directly to the advertising platform. Variable items also receive a clear range or approval point rather than an open-ended commitment. If scope changes during the term, we record what changes, what stays the same and when the new price applies. An extension discussed verbally does not silently become part of an old package. This lets customers compare not only packages, but also the initial financial commitment, required internal capacity and possible external costs before confirming a choice.

  • Monthly price, VAT treatment and minimum number of instalments
  • Start date, any discount and when it ends
  • One-off costs and variable items with approval rules
  • Advertising budget and external implementation separate from management
  • Cancellation process and consequences of later scope changes

What a verifiable pricing and scope statement looks like

A verifiable statement includes at least the package or service name, version or quotation date, monthly amount, VAT treatment, minimum term, any discount, start date and explicit exclusions. For an advertising service, for example, it separately states that media budget is not included in management fees. For content or technical work, it specifies whether implementation, advice only or a limited number of deliverables are covered. This is a transparency format, not a promise that every package contains the same elements; the current quotation and order confirmation remain authoritative for each agreement.

When something changes, customers receive a new confirmation that makes both the old and new situations traceable. It specifies which work is added or removed, which price applies from which date and whether the term or cancellation conditions change. The selected version is kept in the customer file so support, implementation and billing use the same source. Claims about savings, returns or payback periods are included only when the calculation, assumptions and measurement period are verifiable; without that basis the proposal sticks to scope and costs. Pricing information therefore does not sell certainty the service cannot honestly guarantee.

  • Version, date, exact service name and pricing statement
  • VAT, term, discount and start date
  • Included, limited and excluded work
  • Separate costs and who pays them directly
  • Written approval for later changes

Frequently asked questions

Are advertising costs included?

No, the media budget is paid directly through the advertising account and is separate from management fees.

Is every package cancellable monthly?

Not automatically. The minimum term and cancellation conditions must be read and confirmed for each package.

Can I have an analysis done first?

Yes. A short consultation and a check of the current measurement and indexing setup help establish a sensible scope.

Are there one-off setup costs?

Only when explicitly stated in the current proposal and order confirmation. One-off costs identify the amount or calculation method and the purpose of the work. They must not be inferred from a general monthly fee. If no setup item is included, it is not added to the existing scope later without a new agreement.

What if the initial consultation shows less work is needed?

The final proposal should then reflect that smaller or different need. The consultation establishes a suitable scope, dependencies and responsibilities; it does not automatically justify the broadest package. If another provider or an internal solution fits better, that conclusion must also be possible before an agreement is confirmed.

Can the scope change during the term?

Yes, but only with a new clear agreement about work, price, start date and any implications for the term. Existing conditions continue to apply unless the change explicitly states otherwise in writing. A request in a meeting or an informal suggestion does not automatically approve recurring additional work or a higher monthly amount.

Is the Google Ads budget included in management fees?

Media budget and management fees should be shown separately. Advertising budget is usually paid to Google through the advertising account, while SEOJuice invoices for the agreed management work. Before purchasing, check the current quotation and order confirmation: they should state who pays the budget, the total limit and who may approve an increase.
