Local visibility
Local SEO for more visibility in your region
Local SEO helps people find your business when location, distance, service area or availability forms part of their search.

- Google Business Profile: Categories, services, opening hours, images and updates stay consistent and current.
- Local landing pages: Each location receives useful, unique information rather than copied city names.
- Measurable rankings: Rankings are recorded by location, keyword, date and provider.
Which factors influence local visibility?
Google considers relevance, distance and prominence, among other things. You cannot optimise distance, but you can clarify what you offer, where you operate and why your business is trustworthy.
- Correct name, address and contact details
- Appropriate primary and secondary categories
- Complete service and product information
- Local pages with genuine location information
- Reviews and professional responses
Local SEO for multiple locations
Each location has its own information needs. A good location structure includes unique contact details, directions, services, team information and local evidence. Simply replacing the place name produces thin pages.
- One canonical URL per real location
- Consistent NAP details
- Location-specific opening hours and service areas
- Local internal links and breadcrumbs
How we measure local growth
A local ranking varies by location and time. We therefore store the provider ID, keyword, location, position and measurement date, and seek confirmation across several dates before reporting a breakthrough.
- No manually entered ranking results
- Report location, measurement point, device, provider and measurement period
- Reporting alongside website actions and profile interactions
- A position applies only to the measured moment and is not a lasting guarantee
The business profile and website must describe the same location
A Google Business Profile does not stand apart from the website. The business name, address, phone number, opening hours, main category, services and linked location page must together present a clear, current and reliable picture. Inconsistencies do not automatically lower rankings, but make it harder for visitors and platforms to determine which information is correct. For multiple locations, we connect each real profile to the appropriate location page rather than sending every profile to the homepage. A location page must then offer more than just a substituted town name.
That is why we treat changes as one location record. When opening hours change, we check not just the profile but also the contact or location page and any structured data containing those hours. A relocated branch also requires checks of directions, old listings and the page URL. For a service-area business, we describe honestly where staff serve customers without suggesting a non-existent visitor location. Virtual offices, postal addresses and unstaffed locations are not presented as physical branches. The actual business operations determine which local structure is defensible.
- One current source for name, address, phone number and opening hours
- Link each real business profile to the correct location page
- Clearly distinguish the service area from the visitor address
- Check changes in the profile, website, structured data and important listings
Request reviews without selection or artificial pressure
A sustainable review process asks eligible customers at a sensible moment to share their own experience. It does not first select only satisfied customers or offer discounts, gifts or other rewards in exchange for a positive review. The invitation may make it easy to leave feedback, but does not prescribe the score or words someone should use. This keeps a review an independent signal rather than company-directed promotion. Recurring criticism is also useful operational information and should not be treated solely as a reputation issue.
Responses remain brief, professional and free of personal information or case details. When responding to criticism, a business can acknowledge that the experience is being investigated, indicate a private contact channel and internally check for a specific service problem. Only the platform ultimately decides on removal; reporting is appropriate when a review demonstrably violates the applicable policy, not simply because it is negative. Review counts, average ratings and response speed can be tracked, but do not by themselves prove growth in local rankings, enquiries or revenue.
- Use the same invitation process for all eligible customers
- No reward, discount or condition for a positive review
- No personal or case information in public responses
- Turn recurring criticism into an internal improvement item
- Clearly separate policy reports from disagreement with the content
What does a verifiable local work record look like?
A local work record can demonstrate that a category, service, opening time, website link or location detail has been checked and changed. It contains the profile ID, real location or service area, changed field, previous and new value, implementation date and a post-publication check. For website changes, we add the affected URL and relevant technical verification. This makes SEOJuice's work traceable without claiming that a map position or enquiry count changed directly because of that single action.
We store local ranking measurements separately with the keyword, measurement location, date, device and provider used. Only comparable measurement points may be compared, because distance and personal context affect the results shown. A search from your office or personal phone is not a representative baseline for an entire town or region. Website conversions, profile interactions and rankings also remain different data sources. Only sufficiently consistent measurements over an appropriate period support describing a development, including geographic coverage and methodological limitations.
- Profile ID and corresponding real location or service area
- Previous and new values of the changed field
- Publication and verification dates with a responsible person
- Ranking measurement with a fixed search term, location, device and provider
- Profile interactions and website conversions as separate sources
Frequently asked questions
What is local SEO?
Local SEO improves your visibility for searches where location, distance or a physical branch is relevant, including Google Maps and local search results.
Do I need a page for every town or city?
Only when you genuinely have a location or a distinct service area there with useful information. Large numbers of nearly identical city pages are not a sustainable strategy.
How quickly does a local ranking change?
That varies with the market, distance, profile quality, reviews and website. Measure at several times and locations before drawing conclusions.
Can a service-area business use local SEO without a visitor address?
Yes. The business profile and website must then correctly state that the business serves customers at their locations and must not suggest a visitor facility that does not exist. The actual service area, contact options and offer must be clear. A hidden home address, virtual office or postal address is not used to create additional fictitious branches.
Should all location pages have the same structure?
A consistent foundation helps visitors and administration, but each page must describe that location's real situation. Consider address or service area, directions, opening hours, available services, contact route, team information and relevant local explanations. Replacing just the town name in the same generic text adds little value and can create several pages with almost identical purposes.
Can SEOJuice remove negative Google reviews?
No, only the platform decides on removal. A review can be reported when it demonstrably violates the applicable policy, but a negative opinion about a real experience is not automatically removed. In that case, a brief professional response is appropriate, followed by a private conversation when personal information or specific case details are needed to investigate the situation.
How do you measure local SEO reliably across several locations?
Use fixed keywords, measurement locations, devices and a documented provider, and compare the same setup across multiple times. Report by location rather than one average position for the whole region. Combine rankings with separate data on profile interactions and website conversions, but do not automatically present a relationship as causal evidence.
